How do organizations sustain themselves while sustaining their employees? 

My research program approaches this question from different angles. I examine how sleep promotes human energy necessary for work; how employees engage in counterproductive behavior at work when their resources are threatened; and how organizations fostering more inclusive diversity climates are associated with positive outcomes both for employees and organizations alike.

I collect data globally from diverse populations, utilizing multiple levels of analysis – at the individual, group, and organizational levels – and I employ diverse methodologies such as field surveys, laboratory experiments, experience sampling, and panel data.
